Magnesium hydroxide is a new type of filling flame retardant. It has the function of inhibiting polymer decomposition and cooling the combustible gas produced. MgO produced by decomposition is a good refractory, which can also help improve the fire resistance of the composite. At the same time, the water vapor emitted from it can also be used as a smoke suppressor. Magnesium hydroxide is recognized as an excellent flame retardant with three functions of flame retardant, smoke suppression, and filling in the rubber and plastic industry.
