Magnesium Hydroxide
Magnesium hydroxide is a new type of filling flame retardant. It releases binding water during thermal decomposition and absorbs a lot of latent heat to reduce the surface temperature of its filled synthetic materials in the flame. It has the function of inhibiting polymer decomposition and cooling the combustible gas produced. MgO produced by decomposition is a good refractory, which can also help improve the fire resistance of the composite. At the same time, the water vapor emitted from it can also be used as a smoke suppressor. Magnesium hydroxide is recognized as an excellent flame retardant with three functions of flame retardant, smoke suppression, and filling in the rubber and plastic industry. It is widely used in rubber, chemical industry, building materials, plastics and electronics, unsaturated polyester, paint, coating, and other polymer materials.
